Our story began when founder Victor duPont relocated from Northern Virginia to Southwest Florida. After gaining valuable experience revitalizing Useppa Island and working with a regional developer, Victor launched duPont Builders with a clear vision: to create lasting spaces where families could thrive, memories could be made, and communities could grow.
Four decades later, that vision remains at the heart of everything we do.

In recognition of our dedication to quality and innovation, duPont Builders was awarded Lee County’s first-ever “Award of Excellence” in 2000 for outstanding achievement in Project Design, Environmental Quality, and Innovative Technology for the Island Woods Subdivision on Sanibel Island. Victor has also served as a two-term president of the Lee Building Industry Association, chaired Sanibel Island’s Code Enforcement board, and currently serves on the Executive Regulatory Oversight Committee (EROC) of Lee County.
